Wilsonville to Host Emergency Preparedness Fair on Sept. 20
September 10, 2025 – The City of Wilsonville is hosting its fourth annual Emergency Preparedness Fair on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 10 am to noon at the Stein-Boozier Barn at Memorial Park.
Preparedness experts from the City and several partners in emergency management will be on hand to host a family-friendly, educational event that provides information, tips, and tools to get households more prepared to withstand a local or regional emergency.
Attendees can go station to station to get tips on several elements of preparedness, including how to store water, and put together an evacuation ‘go bag.’ The free event includes preparedness tips, useful giveaway items, and simple checklists that make it easier to make an emergency plan, safeguard the home, protect their pets, and take other steps to become more prepared.
“Preparation is incremental, and every little step your able to take can make a difference,” said Martin Montalvo, Emergency Operations manager. “You’ll leave with a few ideas you can implement quickly that will help your household withstand an emergency.”
The Emergency Preparedness Fair is presented by the City of Wilsonville in partnership with several participating partners, including Portland General Electric, Wilsonville Police Department, Red Cross, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, Regional Water Providers Consortium, Charbonneau Country Club, Oregon Health Authority, and Upstream Access.
This event is a component of the City’s "Wilsonville Ready" campaign. This year-round effort is designed to help individuals and families become better equipped to endure the immediate aftermath of an emergency when access to critical resources – power, water, food, medical aid, plumbing, phone, internet, transportation, etc. – may be restricted.
