The City of Wilsonville and Wilsonville Muslim Community Center are partnering for the third year in a row, to collect hygiene products as a way to give back as a part of Ramadan. This year donations will be collected throughout the month of March, to be distributed to neighbors in need by the Heart of the City and Wilsonville Community Sharing. Items sought include deodorant, shampoo, laundry soap pods, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and diapers (size 3-7).
A key component of Ramadan is being mindful of the importance of charity and giving back to the community. Through acts of kindness, compassion, and generosity, Muslims seek to embody the teachings of Islam and make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Whether it’s through financial donations, volunteer work, or simple acts of kindness, the act of giving during Ramadan brings about unity, compassion, and solidarity within communities.
Donations may be dropped at Wilsonville City Hall (29799 SW Town Center Loop E), the Wilsonville Public Library (8200 SW Wilsonville Road) and the Wilsonville Community Center (7965 SW Wilsonville Road) during business hours.
