Hosting a Public Event in the City

What is a Special Event?

Any celebration, gathering, assembly of persons, meeting, program, or similar occasion which may include but not necessarily be limited to entertainment, dancing, music, dramatic productions, parades, exhibitions, sports competitions, sale of merchandise or food, or any combination thereof.

Examples:  road race, bike race, walk, parade, festival, market, carnival, block party and concert.

What is a Large Special Event?

Any event, race, entertainment, amusement or assembly of persons which may attract 250 or more persons and/or create significant public impact on public property in the City of Wilsonville may be required to obtain a Special Event Permit (Wilsonville Code 6.115).

If the event will disrupt or interfere with vehicular, bicycle, or pedestrian traffic, a special use of streets and sidewalks permit may be required (Wilsonville Code 6.110).
